Heidi Brache

Heidi Brache (Bickford), age 48, of Browns Mills passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at home. Heidi was born in Jersey City, NJ and resided in Manchester prior to moving to Browns Mills.
A graduate of Bayonne High School, Heidi continued her education at New Jersey City University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Walden University where she received a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment and Thomas Edison State University where she received Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Heidi shared her passion for lifelong learning and math with her students at Freehold Intermediate School where she taught for many years.
As a lifelong advocate, Heidi has held several union positions and participated at every level of her union from National Education Association, New Jersey Education Association, Monmouth County Education Association and Freehold Borough Education Association. She continually advocated for members of marginalized communities, students, and union members alike. Heidi loved nothing more than helping others and giving back. She truly enjoyed her time volunteering at JBJ Soul Kitchen, Toms River.
Heidi is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Christina Bickford.
She was the loving mother of Raymond Brache, life partner of Paul Dobson, sister of Edward and Charles Bickford, grandmother of Wyatt, and was beloved by her extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, December 18, 2023 and Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins Memorial Home 20 Center St. Freehold, NJ 07728.
