Helen "Corena" Boyd, age 88, of Lodi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
She was born on March 11, 1936, the daughter of Jim and Pansie Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sister; and her husband, Billy Boyd, Sr.
Corena was a quiet person but had a huge heart made of gold. She saw the good in everyone. She gave the best advice. Corena was a member of Lodi Freewill Baptist Church which she loved to attend. She loved the simple things in life. She loved to cook and make sure everyone had their bellies full, helping Bill in the hayfield, riding four-wheelers, watching her grandkids drag-race, checking cows, and watching her stories. She was also excited about expecting her first great-great-grandchild.
She will be missed dearly. We love you dearly and will miss you every day. This is not goodbye, it's see you later.
She is survived by her two sons, Billy Boyd, Jr. and Dana Boyd and Steven and Tracy Boyd all of Lodi; her daughter, Kattena Fant of Lodi; her seven grandchildren, Katrina Bates, Alecia Wright, Josh (Tanner) Boyd, Tiffany (Jonathan) Pounds, Zach Boyd, Steven Boyd, Jr., and Jesse (Jaiden) Boyd; her nine great-grandchildren, Jordan (Loke) Bates, Alexis Bates, Rhiannon Boyd, Kolton Boyd, Tiff Boyd, Jaydyn Pounds, Chelsea Pounds, Bristol Pate, and Jathan Pounds; and her many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be Zach Boyd, Steven Boyd, Jr., Jesse Boyd, Jordan Bates, Jonathon Boyd, and Deric Putz.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Putz and Kenny Boyd.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Danny Dougan for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity during our time of grief.
