Helen M. (Gombarick) Carns, 61, of Royersford PA, wife of the late Gary R. Carns, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends. Born on January 16, 1964 in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. Gombarick, Sr. and Joan C. (Peabody) Gombarick.
Helen was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1982, and dedicated over 40 years of service to the Phoenixville Chester County District Court.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville and the Trappe VFW.
Helen was a true patriot, a proud Army mom, and had a deep respect for law enforcement. She also loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. Helen especially loved hosting holiday dinners, organizing family gatherings, and spoiling her dog Penny. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and could strike up a conversation with anyone - she truly never met a stranger.
She is survived by her three sons:
• Brandon, husband of Nicole Carns
•Nicholas, husband of Brandy Carns
•Joshua Carns, partner of Raymond Lamberton
She is also survived by her siblings: Rita Huffman, Joan Winters, and Robert Gombarick.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: John Gombarick, Jr., Joseph Gombarick, Sr., James Gombarick, Sr., and Catherine Haddix.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Devlin-Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 865 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
