Johanna W. (Erkelens) Niccolls, 95, wife of Charles A. Niccolls, Jr. of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at home.
Born on September 5, 1930 in Patterson, NJ she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Erkelens and Christine (Garritsen) Gersh.
She was a Department Manager for Bond's Department Store in Drexel Hill, Delaware County.
Johanna had a passion for creativity and nature; she enjoyed painting and had a deep appreciation for music. Her love for reading mystery novels was well-known, and she found joy in feeding the birds and squirrels that visited her yard. Together with her husband, she built family homes in the Poconos and Arizona, creating spaces filled with love and warmth. Johanna was also an animal lover, always caring for her cats and dogs, and welcoming any strays that came into her life.
In addition to her husband of 64 years she is survived by 2 children:
Tracey Anne wife of Steven Welsh;
Chuck Allen Niccolls, III.
2 Grandchildren, Tyler Welsh and Chloe wife of Stephen Jones.
Great-grandson, Liam Jones.
Many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service in Washington Memorial Chapel, 2000 Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19460 on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Washington Memorial Chapel, 2000 Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19460.
