Dianne Priscilla (Skatz) Wassel, “Dee”, of Royersford and formerly of Phoenixville, aged 88, peacefully passed away on September 27, 2025, at Pottstown Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Wassel, who predeceased her on June 30, 2015.
Born in Paoli on August 13, 1937, Dianne was the daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy (Aceto) Skatz. She was a graduate of the Tredyffrin-Easttown High School and the Katherine Gibbs School and was certified as a housing manager in 1981.Dianne had a rewarding career as the Director of Senior Living at King Terrace in Phoenixville and Vincent Heights in Spring City, where she touched the lives of many senior residents. Her commitment to her work reflected her compassionate spirit, and she treated her tenants like members of her family.
Dianne was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spring City, PA; and the former St. Ann’s Church in Phoenixville.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed a variety of interests, including photography, playing pinochle, watching movies, and listening to the music of Tony Bennett and Andrea Bocelli. Dianne had a special fondness for bird watching and treasured her summer family vacations in Wildwood, NJ, where she loved to soak up the sun on the beach. She was a sports fan and loved attending all of the sporting events for her sons and following all of the local professional sports teams.
Dianne is survived by her loving sons, Kevin (husband of Teri Wassel) and Joseph B. (husband of Christine Wassel), as well as her seven grandchildren: Nicole, Gianna, Shea, Bryn, Chase, Brady, and Flynn. Additionally, she was the great grandmother to her three greatgrandchildren: Mila and Roman Catalino(Bryn) and Aubrey Czajka(Shea).She is preceded in death by her siblings, Louis Skatz, Gloria Skatz, and Sylvio Skatz.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dianne’s life at her Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA.
A viewing will be held in the church from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dianne’smemory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
Dianne’s warm presence and kind spirit will be truly missed but always remembered.
