It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mema, Helen Edwards, on August 18, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on August 27, 1941 in Bladenboro, NC, Helen was a source of light and inspiration to all who knew her. She dedicated her life to raising a loving family and always put others before herself. Her home was one filled with warmth, laughter, and kindness.
Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured each moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her joyful spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering positivity left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and happiness will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of being in her presence.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rudolph Masters, children James (Jimmy) and Rudolph (Rudy) Jr., parents Marvin and Lousie Hester, siblings Frances (Jester), Eugene, Aubrey, and Samual Hester, along with her second husband Tillman Edwards of 2 years.
She is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a wide circle of dear friends.
A private memorial service will be held for those closest to her heart to honor her memory and celebrate the wonderful life she led. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Helen is now at peace with Jehovah and reunited with those who have gone before her. Her love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
