Helen was born and raised in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the beloved daughter of Fred and Mary Vogel and sister to Marion (Adolphsen) and Janet (Pawley), who preceded her in death.
Helen lived a vibrant and full life, cultivating a wide range of interests. She was a talented quilter, knitter, and seamstress. An
enthusiastic card player, Helen cherished her time at the Golden Age Senior Center in Lake Ozark. Her love for music was evident in her ability to play the guitar, piano, and zither, bringing joy to those around her.
Helen was a devoted mother to seven children: Mary E. Huffman (Eddie), Catherine Ann Marcucci (Mark, d.), Jerrilyn Spiegl (John), Jacqueline Szadkowski (Joseph), Carol Denecke (Larry Denny), Robert Kubin (Lisa), and a son who passed away shortly after birth in 1951.
She was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren-Jennen Wagner and Susan Anderson (Huffman); Michael (Marcucci); Nicole (d. 7-12-2013), Laurie, Bob, and Missy (Spiegl); Jaroslav (Szadkowski); William, Ashley, and David Denecke (Denny) - and the great-grandmother of six: Kylee, Priscilla, Paxton, Kayden, Jonathan, and Michael, Jr. Helen was also a cherished aunt, friend, and mentor to many.
Helen's kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
At this time, no formal services are planned.
