Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at New Hightower Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Ledford, Rev. Nathan Smith, Rev. Merrick McClure, Rev.Jack Blackwell and Rev. Brian Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Knoll Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Mrs. McClure was a member of New Hightower Baptist Church. She owned and operated McClure's Flower Shop and Green Houses for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon "Red" McClure; parents, Elbert and Bessie Gaddis; and brother, Leon Gaddis. Helen is survived by her son, Bobby McClure (Debra); four grandchildren, Megan Bennett (Brian), Macey Blackwell (Jack), Merrick McClure (Sheri) and Kyle Wigley (Caroline); seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Blackwell, Jacey Blackwell, Miley Garner, Blaine Bennett, Meredith McClure, Autumn McClure and Hunter Wigley; sister, Wanda Wigley (Marvin); brother-in-law and sisters in-law, Homer and Elizabeth McClure, Ruby McClure and Evelyn McClure; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Blackwell, Brian Bennett, Merrick McClure, Blaine Bennett, Kyle Wigley and Hunter Blackwell.
