Helen M. Mord

A Memorial Service for Helen M. Mord of Baudette, MN will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00AM at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette at a later date.
Helen Martha Mord was born on May 27, 1943, in International Falls, MN to Jens and Johanna Dahl. She grew up on the Black River Road south of Loman.
In July 1960, she married the love of her life, Howard. Soon after she was blessed with five boys.
Her faith in God was a big part of her life. She read the bible and had daily devotions. Living a Christian life was important to her. She was also very proud of her Norwegian heritage and spent time with her family in Norway.
She had a passion for picking blueberries and anytime there was a patch she gathered up the boys. Her joy of baking and cooking was very dear to her heart, and she was an amazing cook.
Helen worked at the Baudette hospital for many years, in several departments. Her passion for helping others made her a perfect fit there.
She is survived by her husband Howard, sons David (Dayle), Jerry (Lisa) and John (Melanie) Mord. Grandchildren David, Alecia, Brittany, Brittni, Jayde and Josh. Great grandchildren Mia, Peighton, Bradley, Dylan, Colton, Michael, Cameron, Caleb and Kenna. She is preceded in death by sons Thomas Howard and baby Mord.
