Richard Erickson of Baudette passed away on June 23, 2025. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 3, from 9:00 to 11:00 at Helgeson's Funeral Home in Baudette.
Richard Allan Erickson was born on October 5, 1961 to Arthur and Viola (Skjordahl) Erickson in Roseau, MN. Richard graduated from Roseau High School in 1980. After high school he worked on the oil rigs in Oklahoma. When Richard returned to the area, he worked at Marvin's and then moved to Baudette when Pam and Glenn bought Riverbend Resort. After the resort was sold, Richard worked at Cenex in Baudette delivering propane.
Richard had a kind heart and loved his pets. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his lawn. He loved guiding on Lake of the Woods and made many lifelong friends along the way.
Richard is survived by his children Erica (Mike) Langevin and Cody (Samantha) Erickson; grandchildren Elsa, Ingrid, and Evelyn; sisters Arlys Lofstedt, Patricia Alberg, Kathy (Jack) McDonald, Carla Lindemoen, Pam (Glenn) Voytilla, Barb Peterson; brothers Mike (Beverly) Rugland and Paul (Betsy) Erickson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Viola Erickson, brother Dale Erickson and brother-in-laws Keith Lindemoen and Randy Lofstedt.
