Helen Patsch Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 14, 2025.
Helen Jean Patsch, 96, devoted mother of Glenn R. Patsch and Donna Studniarz (Joe), loving grandmother of Joseph G. Studniarz (Emily), and adoring great-grandmother of two, passed away early Monday morning, October 13th, 2025, in Medina, Ohio.
Born November 16, 1928, in Washington, Pennsylvania, Helen was a graduate of Chartiers Township High School where she met her sweetheart, Glenn F. Patsch (deceased November 2024). Beginning with their first date to the junior-senior prom, they became inseparable dancing at the "Duck Inn," going to the movies and operettas together, and sharing milkshakes at the local Sarris café. The couple got married in August 1951. Over the years, Helen and Glenn enjoyed countless travel adventures with their family and friends, even towing their Airstream trailer all the way to Alaska. They especially loved camping in national parks, taking in the views, and ending their day with ice cream from a local shop.
Helen worked in various positions throughout her life, including as an Ohio Bell telephone operator, a bookkeeper, and an executive secretary for the Cleveland Orchestra. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved preparing incredible homemade meals and pies for her family. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting, and several of her beautiful quilts won ribbons in regional quilt shows.
We are so grateful to have been loved by Helen, and we will always remember her joyful smile and gentle spirit. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers or other tributes, memorial donations are requested to Better Together Hospice (3515 Manchester Rd., Suite F, Akron, OH 44319) or the National Parks Foundation (P.O. Box 17394, Baltimore, MD 21298-9450, www.nationalparks.org/tribute).
