Helen A. (Modzelewski) Wojnarowicz, 70, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023 after a decline in health, at Lutheran Rehabilitation in Worcester.
She leaves her loving children: Lisa Rice and her husband Dave, Scott Wojnarowicz and his wife Christine Moorer, and Shawn Wojnarowicz and his wife Gina; her grandchildren: Olivia and Madelyn Rice, and Jack and Benjamin Wojnarowicz; her siblings: John Modzelewski and his wife Christine, and Theresa Sarsfield and her husband Paul; and her nieces and nephews: Lynne, Eric, and Evan Modzelewski, Jenna Star, and Daniel and Ryan Sarsfield.
Helen was born in Worcester, to the late Charles J. Modzelewski and Theresa J. (Zikaras) Modzelewski. She was raised in Auburn, and graduated from Auburn High School. She attended and graduated from Rob Roy Academy, with a Beautician Certificate. Helen worked for several local hair salons, before becoming an Insurance Agent for Hanover Insurance. Of all her careers, the one she cherished the most was being a devoted mother and caretaker to her children.
In her free time, Helen enjoyed shopping and tending to her flower gardens. She also loved her canine companions, her beloved Shih Tzu's.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association to aid in research and treatment (www.stroke.org/donate).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Wojnarowicz family from 5 – 7 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn. Burial will be held privately.
