Helen was born in Argyle, Michigan on May 18, 1923 to the late Lucy (nee Kulish) and Elmer Pariseau.
She was the third of five children and the only girl. After her mother's passing in 1927, Helen and two of
her brothers went to live with their grandparents, Frank and Mary Kulish. Helen grew up on the family
farm and was a great help to her grandmother. She married Jacob Wrubel on October 21, 1939 and
lived on his family farm until they moved down to Warren. During their 77 year marriage they had 3
children, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. They had many adventures and loved to bowl and
golf. They were members of the PLAV club in Warren. Helen enjoyed working at Macomb Community
College and National Bank of Detroit. She was an avid Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy fan and rarely
missed an episode. She loved playing Euchre, reading, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles as well as
being a trivia wiz.
