Salem – Helena Pohlman Muse, 92, wife of the late Wilbur Edward Muse, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born on February 16, 1933, in Patterson, New Jersey, Helena was the daughter of the late Jacob William and Julia Wielhouwer Pohlman. Helena was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Methodist Church in West Union.
Helena is survived by her sons, Dwayne P. Muse (the late Elisa) of Passic, NJ, Edward C. Muse and wife Lynn of Nutley, NJ; daughters, Julia E. Kavanugh and husband Raymond of Fair Play, SC, Ruth M. Schreiber (the late Joseph) of Sussex, NJ, Rose M. Keiper (the late Ronald) of Pickens, SC; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Helena is preceded in death by her brother, William P. Pohlman.
Per Helena's wishes, no formal services will be held.
The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
