Age 90, passed away March 21, 2024 in the comfort of her home. Helene was born August 2, 1933, to the Stephan and Anna Patrick Popavich. She was the mother of Ray Rickard III., Ron, John, Bob, Kate, Russ, Jeane, Ann, Tom, Colleen, Debbie and Joe. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three sons (Ron, John and Joe) and one daughter (Kate).
The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 3-5PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Lady of the Lake, 905 Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10 AM. Those wishing to remember Helene please consider memorial contributions in her memory to the church.

I could list so many precious moments with my Godmother and Aunt Helene.
I am the sole survivor now of a game of pass the garbage with Joe, MariBeth, and Aunt Helene. We laughed until we cried and drank wine and white chocolate. Three beautiful souls together again.
I already miss your smile, your gentle nature, our ice cream trips, your unwavering love for all of our family, and your endless faith in our Lord.
I forever love you. Until we meet again at heaven's gate......
