Obituary For Henrietta Concetta Codispoti

Our mom was born on July 11, 1925 in as mom would say, "good, old Brooklyn" to Jennie and Patsy Treglio. She was named Henrietta Concetta (which she hated having to spell out in school) but was affectionately known as "Sis" to all who loved her - and if you knew her, you loved her.

She was a homemaker who lived for her family. She was also a proud member and officer in the American Legion for many years in the 60s and 70s. She was an expert in crocheting, making the most beautiful blankets for family and friends - it is highly likely that if you knew her, you were gifted one.

Mom was one of the most selfless, kindest people you could ever meet. She put everyone ahead of herself. Her daughters have always counted themselves supremely blessed to have had her for a mom.

She loved gathering for family dinners (especially when pasta or hamburgers were on the menu) decorating for the holidays- especially Christmas, loving the pets of her three daughters, and all things related to music (especially Dean Martin and Engelbert) dance, flowers, plants, birds, poodles, penguins, the color turquoise, hoop earrings, sparkly tops and bracelets!

In addition to her parents, She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Louie to whom she was married for 21 years, her infant daughter baby Henrietta, sister Pat and brother Buddy.

Above all things she loved her three daughters Catherine Lynch (Dennis) and Terri Guttilla (Frank) and Luann Codispoti.

In addition to sons-in-law Frank and Dennis, and many nieces and nephews, she also leaves behind her six beloved grandchildren- Luann Radziewicz (Eddie), Jean Marie Guardino, Alisyn Guttilla (Rich), Louis Codispoti, Nicholas Codispoti (Athena), and Gianna Codispoti. She also leaves behind her two beloved great grandchildren Lauren Radziewicz and James Guardino Rosa.

As kids she'd tell us when you do something do it with your heart. And when we'd ask mom what she wanted for Christmas or her birthday and she'd always say the same thing - "just be good". No one will ever be as good as our mom but we will continue to try.

She will be missed beyond words but we are thankful for having her in our lives and for the time we had her for. The world is a better place because she was in it and we are better people for having been loved by her.
