Henrietta Sugg, age 83, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson. From a young age Henrietta was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church and later attended First Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting many local churches and became friends with many people. Henrietta was a resident of Redbanks Nursing Home for 46 years, where she was referred by many as " The Mayor" and crowned prom queen in 2010. Despite her special needs, she had a phenomenal memory and could remember everyone's names and birthdays. Henrietta loved playing bingo and singing. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Sugg and Lucinda Sugg Shelton and her brothers Gordon Sugg and Tim Sugg. Henrietta is survived by her nieces Shelley Sugg Taylor and Tammy Sugg both of Henderson, KY; nephew Matthew Sugg of Winchester, KY; and her special friend Agnes. Relatives and friends are invited to Henrietta's Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Brother Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Pallbearers will be Rob Wilson, Bradley Sugg, Logan Taylor, Larry Sheeley, Fred Sheeley, and David Stinson. Honorary pallbearer will be Timmy Hart. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Redbanks Nursing Home Activities Dept., 851 Kimsey Lane, Henderson, KY, 42420.
