Danny Swearer born on August 22, 1954, in Henderson, KY to Wilson and Nina (Chaney) Swearer, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his home under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

Danny was a master carpenter for Local #90 and Industrial Contractors until retirement. Retirement didn't stop him from always finding things to work on and create. At a young age, Danny found a passion for hunting, fishing, and cars. These things have passed on to his grandchildren. He took great pride in his yard. He had the best-looking yard in the neighborhood. Danny was the one everyone called upon when they needed to know how to fix things.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia (Bullock) Swearer of 29 years, parents Wilson and Nina, brother Kenneth Swearer, sisters Gail Gilmore and Marie Kendall and one grandson Daniel Ray Veach.

He is survived by his daughters Monica Basham and Mindy Veach of Reed, KY; son Michael (Jill) Swearer of Spottsville, KY; brothers Larry Swearer of Henderson, KY and Billy Swearer of Reed, KY; sisters-in-law: Rose Bullock of Elberfield, IN, Barbara Bullock of Newburgh, IN, and Shirley Spangler (Cecil) of Cadiz, KY; grandchildren: Brad Gray (Sarah) of Robards, KY, Derek Basham (Morgan) of Hodgenville, KY, Emma Veach of Reed, KY, Megan Powell of Dixon, KY, and Bentley and Landon Swearer of Spottsville, KY; great-grandchildren Avery and River Gray of Dixon, KY, as well as one on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Danny's Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Don Haire officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
