Joseph Steven Hein, age 73, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at his home.
After graduating from Baraboo High School in 1970, Joe attended college classes at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater as well as the University of Evansville. He earned his computer programming certifications from ITT Technical Institute. Joe worked for years at PB&S Chemical until it was bought by Brenntag and 18 years at Henderson County High School as a Job Coach and Special Education teachers assistant. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, enthusiastic UK Basketball and NASCAR racing fan as well. Joe enjoyed watching Drum and Bugle Corp competitions. He was a member of the Henderson Tennis Club, Community Chorus. Joe loved his children and grandchildren, but no one more than his beloved wife of 51 years, Debbie.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Al and Mary Hein, sister Margaret Borglun, and brother William A. Hein.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Debbie Hein of Henderson, KY; sons Joshua Hein (Rebecca) of Henderson, KY and Jacob Hein of Owensboro, KY; brother A.E. "Tuck" Hein of Illinois and David H. Hein of Florida; grandchildren Kevin M. Hein (Ashleigh Mrdalj) and Cassie Sisk; many nieces and nephews; as well as his lifelong friend Billy Edwards.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home with David Salisbury officiating.
