Henrietta Wyker Obituary
Henrietta Veronica "Etta" Wyker (DeBellis), who was loved by all who knew her, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024. Born on July 28, 1937 in Bethlehem PA, to the late Henry M. and Dorothy (Shanaberger) DeBellis, Etta dedicated her life to her family, friends, faith and community.
Etta graduated from Bethlehem High School in 1955. It was at Western Electric where she met the love of her life, Dale H. Wyker. They shared a beautiful marriage of 51 years, filled with laughter and cherished moments until his passing in 2013. She enjoyed a fulfilling career in retail at Rileigh's Hallmark at the Lehigh Valley Mall for 30 years, until her retirement in 2007.
Etta's legacy is carried on by her loving daughters, Teri Belick of Allentown, Judy Schneider and Tony of Bethlehem, Kelli Holzman and Jeff of Allentown, Lori Fox and Tom of Bethlehem, and Katie Mello and Jonathan of Bethlehem. Her spirit continues to shine brightly in the lives of her 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothea Mitman sister-in-law Sonia DeBellis and many nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her siblings Dolores Martin, Theresa Martin, Peter DeBellis, Roseann DeBellis, and Alfonso DeBellis, and son-in-law Paul Belick.
Etta's deep faith was evident in her active involvement as a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Allentown. She led Immaculate's St. Vincent De Paul Society, and was involved with the choir, prayer and worship committee, and served as an Eucharistic Minister. Etta and Dale's service to the community extended to volunteering at the Ecumenical soup kitchen and transporting food.
Etta was an avid walker and champion bowler and also coached her daughters in kickball.
But most important to Etta was her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her biggest joy. Her daughters and grandchildren alike loved hours of play at board games, cards, ping pong, and miniature golf, and they rose to compete with the Mom/Gram who would never give away an unearned victory. The family enjoyed many trips to Knoebel's and Fenwick Island beach. Etta loved baking, singing, dancing and ice cream. Etta's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and memories shared within this close-knit family.
Service: Family and friends are invited to a visitation period 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M on Thursday, August 22nd at Immaculate Conception BVM Church at 501 Ridge Ave, Allentown, PA 18102, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Interment to conclude services at Nisky Hill Cemetery- 254 E Church Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Etta's name to Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank- 417 N 14th Street, Allentown, PA 18102.

My condolences to Etta's family. I had the pleasure of knowing Etta during her residency at Ledgend of Allentown. I enjoyed her weekly visit at the hair salon where I had the honor of dong her hair. It was also a pleasure to meet some of her family. She was a special lady and will not be forgotten by many. Rest in peace Etta!

Dear family, sorry for your loss. My prayers to all the family.
I met Etta through bowling. We also belonged to Norte Dame Senior group and Savvy Seniors at Easton Hospital. In 2018, we took a bus trip with Savvy Seniors to Quebec City and the surrounding area. What a fun time we had with a great group of friends, Ann, Rose, Jill, and me (Dee). I´ll always remember the fun time we enjoyed while bowling, day trips with Notre Dame Seniors and sometimes, a gathering for lunch.
