Susan M. Muhr

Susan M. Muhr, 73, of Bangor, PA died peacefully with family by her side on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Monroe County Hospice House, East Stroudsburg, PA. She was the widow of Robert F. Muhr, Jr. who died November 5, 2004. Born in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (Rissmiller) Van Buskirk. A graduate of Wilson High School, Susan was a convenience store manager for over 20 years working at various locations throughout the Lehigh Valley. She was of the Baptist faith. Susan enjoyed reading especially suspense thrillers written by Stephen King or Dean Koontz. She also enjoyed crocheting. Her family and her ten rescued kitties meant the world to her. Susan was a faithful supporter for many years of Nat's Cats Rescue in Easton.
Survivors: Children, David Burns with whom she resided, Tara Papasso and her husband Steve of Bangor, Christopher Eickhoff of VA; grandchildren, Natonya Szerencits, Robert Vine, Jr., Amanda Papasso and Rachael Papasso; brother, Kenneth Rittenhouse and his companion Tondra of Kunkletown, PA, 10 beloved kitties. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Krista Burns and siblings, Melinda Dunn and George Van Buskirk and beloved cat, Rufus.
Service: Funeral Service 11:00AM Friday, November 7, 2025 at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11:00AM Friday, November 7, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment to follow the service at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
