Henry R. Ayers, 70
Henry R. Ayers, 70 of Nova, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in his home.
Henry was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was a kind gentleman who would help anyone in need and give the shirt off his back.
Throughout his life, Henry enjoyed hunting and fishing, mushroom hunting, working and farming.
Henry was born in Ashland, Ohio on June 25, 1952, the son of the late Homer Kenneth Ayers Sr. and Mae Virginia (nee Miller) Ayers.
He was a 1971 graduate of Mapleton High School.
Henry was a truck driver all of his life, having spent more than 40 years on the road. He was an owner & operator with the W. H. Fay Steel Haulers.
He married the love of his life, the former, Gayle Kristine Melick, two weeks after her high school graduation in 1974.
Henry is survived by three sons, Henry (Rhiannon) Ayers, Seth (Jeneva Auble) Ayers and Matt (Amber Wright) Ayers; daughter-in-law, Tara Paramore; grandchildren/step grandchildren, Aubreigh, Lauryn & Saige Ayers, Jake Ayers, Alexis & Cayden Baker; one sister, Melba Ayers; and three brothers, Homer (Sandy) Ayers Jr., Chuck (Connie Moss) Ayers and David Ayers of Loudonville.
In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Kris Ayers who passed away on April 18, 2020.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Mrs. Trudy Bates officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
