Henry M. D'Elia, 96, of Deltona, Florida passed away on October 29, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 1, 1928 to Salvatore and Josephine (Lafredo) D'Elia.
Henry lead a full life, serving in the United States Navy in the aftermath of World War II. He would build his career with American Airlines as a cargo handler after his service. Henry loved traveling, especially cruises, wit his wife, Naomi. They would travel to Aruba several times a year, and were granted honorary citizenship there because of their frequent visits and the relationships they build there. He got along with everyone, was known to be a little outspoken, but incredibly friendly, making friends wherever he went. Henry was a longtime member of the Sons of Italy, where he would cook for their events, and he loved to dance there as well for 25 years. He was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Lakes, and faithfully attended 8:30 mass every Saturday.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Josephine (Lafredo) D'Elia.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Naomi D'Elia; his step-sons, Eugene (Blanca) Santiago and Mario (Dee) Santiago; his step-grandchildren, Elena and Eugenio; and his step great-granddaughter, Isela.
