Henry Dolliole Obituary

Henry Louis Dolliole, Jr., of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, affectionately called "Junior," passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2023 at the age of 89. Henry was born in New Orleans on October 23, 1934. He was the eldest of three children, including sister Jeanette and brother Lloyd, born to Florabell and Henry Dolliole Sr. His parents and brother Lloyd have predeceased him. Henry graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School and studied accounting at Delgado Community College. As a U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant who specialized in Morse Code Translation, he was stationed in multiple undisclosed locations around the globe. Following his successful 20-year-plus military career, Henry was a beloved mail carrier for 20+ years. Henry is survived by Ida Dolliole and children from the marriage Kevin (Janice Flint) Dolliole, Sr., Steven Dolliole, Andre' (Kimberly Balancier) Dolliole, son-in-law Michael Hermanspahn, life partner Linda "Lou Lou" Cambric, Ashley Cambric-Holmes, and Marc Cambric; his sister Jeanette Sylvester; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughters Pamela Dolliole Hermanspahn and Lynn Dolliole. Henry was known for his love and faith in God first and the New Orleans Saints second. He was the life and voice of countless parties, and one who enjoyed many genres of music and movies spanning several decades. Henry was a trivia guru and crossword puzzle master who would have fared extremely well on Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune or any other competitive game that required intellect. In his twilight years, Henry and "Lou Lou" enjoyed casino visits, travel, and most importantly the company of each other. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:00 am. Visitation from 9:00 am until 9:45 am. Burial will take place at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA.
