Henry was born on July 12th, 1935 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1st, 2026, at The Homestead Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newton, NJ.
Born and raised in Long Branch, NJ, Henry was the beloved son of the late Harold and Helen Mabb. He was a longtime resident of Hopatcong, NJ before moving nearby to Budd Lake, where he resided for the past three years.
Henry was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean war and graduate of Rutgers University, class of 1975.
He worked for Bell Atlantic and Braniff Airlines at the beginning of his career. Then went to work for Schering-Plough and retired after 40 years. Later he joined the Succasunna Shoprite Appy department for his own enjoyment and worked for another 19 years, retiring in 2020 to relax with family.
He was a dedicated husband and father, hard worker, enjoyed going to dinners, restaurants and shows, an avid reader and an active member of the Boy Scouts of America both as an Eagle Scout and a leader until the late 1990s.
Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna, and his sister, Jacqueline Leffingwell.
He is survived by his three sons: Bryan, Mark with his wife Jaynie and Stuart with his wife Sara. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Alexander and John; his brother, Harold and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation for Henry O. Mabb, age 90, of Budd Lake, NJ, will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, from 4:00 - 6:30 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main Street, Netcong, NJ 07857. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 6:30PM. Repast will be held at Grace Church on the Mount, 1500 US 46, Netcong, NJ directly after the funeral home service from 7:00 - 9:00PM, all are welcome to attend. Private inurnment will take place at Hackettstown Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Henry's name to: Boy Scouts of America - Patriots Path Council via ppcscouting.org
