Henry R. Sardilli

Henry Sardilli, 93, of Newington passed away on January 6, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Lexie (Hamel) Sardilli for 53 years before her passing in 2011.
Henry was born in New Britain on November 3, 1932, son of the late Augustino and Adelaide (Gallo) Sardilli. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Koren War.
Henry graduated from the University of Hartford with a business degree to pursue a career as an Insurance Agent. He worked for John Hancock and Nationwide Insurance before opening his own agency-Sardilli Insurance, which he passed on to his son Tom and grandson Dan.
Henry is survived by his daughter Pamela Stanforth and husband Wayne; five grandchildren Jennifer Stanforth, Bryan Stanforth and wife Liz, Suzanne Sisson and husband Dan, Melissa Tharau and husband Justin-Michael and Daniel Sardilli and wife Lisa. He also leaves five great-grandchildren Jazmin Velez, Benjamin and Anna Sisson, Calvin and Simon Sardilli.
He was predeceased by his brothers Angelo, Guido, Albert and Robert and his son Thomas Sardilli.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Henry's family on Thursday, January 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Avenue, Newington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Holy Spirit, everyone is asked to meet directly at church.
