Henry Arthur Wagner, age 79, of Middletown DE, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with his wife and children by his side after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home.
Henry graduated from Newark High School in 1962, joined the Military and was an MP at West Point and Sergeant having served in Korea. He worked at Acme markets for 30 years in various management positions and at AIG for 12 years as an imaging supervisor.
He loved coaching with his sons, loved to spend time with his grandchildren, finding things with his metal detector, boating, working in his yard, wood working, and certainly loved to support his favorite teams, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Henry was also a Lay Minister at his church, Summit United Methodist Church, and loved officiating the weddings of many family and friends.
Henry was predeceased by his parents, Olivia Greeby and Henry Boyd Wagner, his sisters, Betty Gears, June Dean and Jeanette Robinson, and his children, Henry Wagner Jr and Donna Wagner.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Wagner of almost 47 years; his sister, Harriet Wildermuth, his children, Timothy Wagner and his wife Angie Wagner, Daniel Wagner and his wife Jennifer Wagner, and Kristine Grill and her husband Christian Grill; his beloved grandchildren; Noelle Wagner, Gibson Wagner, Jake Wagner, Nate Wagner, Rachael Wagner, Cole Grill and Knox Grill.
A funeral service will be held on Tues., Oct. 31st at 1130am at Summit UMC, 554 Old Summit Bridge Rd., Middletown, DE. A viewing will be held from 10-1130am. Interment with military honors will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
