Herbert 'Bert' Hughes, age 77, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at his home in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past several months. Bert was born April 22, 1948, in Haynes, Arkansas, and was the son of Heber Hughes II and Jean Rowland Hughes. He lived in Forrest City most of his life and attended the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. Bert married Priscilla Kilgore and she survives him along with a host of friends. Bert's wishes were to be cremated. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
