Herbert Mims Obituary
He was born April 13, 1948 in Clanton, Alabama to the late Herbert E. Mims and Nell Greer Mims. He was a proud member of The Church of Christ in Corbin, Kentucky and a member of the Moose Lodge in Corbin, Kentucky. He retired from CSX Railroad, and served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.
Herbert was preceded in death by two sisters; Sharon Mims and Shirley Ann Justiss.
He is survived by two sons; Norman Mims, Jr of Wisconsin and Mark Mims of Florida. He is also survived by two sisters; Nancy Mims Wilbanks, and Darlene Cassidy of Corbin, Kentucky. He is also survived by four brothers: Tim Mims, Mike Mims, Paul Greer, and Larry Mims. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral arrangements will be held at a later date.
