Herbert Nopper Obituary
EAST GREENBUSH - Herbert H. Nopper, 96, passed away, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at home.
Herbert was born in Albany, N.Y., the son of the late Howard and Regina (Putnam) Nopper.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Viner) Nopper.
He was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his sons, Herbert J.(Holly Pitcher) Nopper and Richard L. (Barbara) Nopper; brother, Jesse Nopper; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.
Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, June 30, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Funeral will follow, 11:30 a.m., at Church of St. Mary, 163 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Herb worked for my father Joe and later on for me mostly on a part time basis. I remember him as a really decent man who was devoted to his family. He was a good worker and a friendly guy I always enjoyed talking to. To Richie and family and the larger Nopper family I extend my sincere condolences.

I can remember spending so much time with him & his sons in he´s garage fixing up wrecked cars. He was such a nice, kind man. I cherish the memories he gave me.
