Herbert Scott age 86 of Sulligent, AL passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Fayette, AL.
Born August 14, 1936 in Detroit, AL, he is the Son of the late Pervy and Mattie Lee Weeks Scott and the Husband of the late Betty Davidson Scott. He had lived in Detroit and Sulligent, AL most of his life and was of the Methodist Faith. He retired from truck driving, was a farmer and attended many cattle schools, a welder, a mechanic and had worked for Norwood Funeral Homes. He was a Paramedic and had the honor of being the first, Alabama Paramedic of the Year.
He is survived by a Daughter, Jeanette Scott Norwood of Fayette, AL, A Son, Wade Scott of Sulligent, AL, Son In Law, Don Norwood of Guin, AL, Sister, Linda Hataway (Mack) of Montgomery, AL, and a Sister In Law, Jane Davidson of Sulligent, AL, 5 Grandchildren, Jeff Norwood, Scott Norwood, Julie Norwood Hales (Daniel), Robin Cagle (Nick), and Taylor Scott (Jennifer), and 5 Great Grandchildren, Maddox Hales, Maelie Baby Hales, Madelynn Scott, Mia Scott, and Amilla Cagle.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Betty Davidson Scott, Son, Wayne Scott and a Brother, Charles Scott.
Services held Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 3:00 PM from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent with Burial in the Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. John Nicholson officiating.
Pallbearers: Scott Norwood, Jeff Norwood, Taylor Scott, Maddox Hales, Daniel Hales, Nick Cagle, David Hataway, Steven Hataway, Gary Hataway, Scott Davidson, Chase Pollard and Scott Wesley Pollard.
