Herbert Strider Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center on Sep. 18, 2025.
Herbert George Strider was born June 21, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Sherman Taft Strider Sr. and Flora Elizabeth Strider, who preceded him in death. At the age of 16, the family moved from Pittsburgh to Cleveland, Ohio. Herby went to East Tech High School and graduated in 1963. After his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent 24 years in the service. After Herbert retired, he dedicated his life to the church and his family. During that time, his amazing mind set him to write and publish two books. Herbert leaves behind a host of friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory. He leaves his children, Makeya, Marcus, and Angela, siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a ton of nieces and nephews. Herbert was truly loved by all. His amazing shine touched everyone he came into contact with. His laughter, his advice, and his open heart will be something remembered for all time. We love you Pops!
