Herbert Wayne Wilson, 69

Herbert Wayne Wilson passed peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on September 19, 2025. He was born on December 3, 1955 in Lilbourn, Missouri. A resident of Okeechobee for 63 years, he enjoyed wrestling (WWE and WWF), semi trucks, birds and dogs.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his father, James W. Wilson; mother, Vera Lee Wilson; brothers, Sam Wilson, Billy Lee Wilson, Jimmy Wilson and Jerome Wilson; and sisters, Sandy Wilson and Monica Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dorothy Wilson, of Okeechobee, Florida; son, Joseph Wilson (Sabrina), of Palm Bay, Florida; daughters, Donna McClanahan (Jason) and Angela Koebernik, all of Okeechobee, Florida; seven grandchildren, Brandon Koebernik (Heather), Dylan McClanahan, Jenna McClanahan, Shian Hernandez (John), Devin Wilson, Ethan Wilson, and Ayden Wilson; three great grandchildren, Alaina Hernandez. Michael Hernandez and Matthew Hernandez; brothers, James "JR" Wilson (Helen), Dennis Ray Wilson (Lynn), and Larry Wilson, all of Okeechobee, Florida; and sisters, Aguena Kay Gatlin (Roy), of Arkansas, and Sharon Stanfield (Donnie), of Ft. Pierce, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Buxton Okeechobee Funeral Home.
