Robert Lee Leach was born on March 6, 1951, to the late Joe and Gladys Leach. He was the ninth of fourteen children. Nine preceded him in death, Joan, Joe, Mercedes, Dorothy, Johnny, James, Ronald, Larry and Gloria.

Robert was married to the late Brenda Davis Ford. To this union, they have four children,

Robert, Jr., Camille, Timothy and Monik.

Robert attended and graduated from Okeechobee High School. While in high school he played basketball, football and baseball. He excelled in all three. He graduated in 1970.

After graduating from high school, he started working at the Florida Steel Mill in Indiantown, Florida. He worked there until they closed. He also worked at the Eckerd Detention Center (formerly called Florida School for Boys and G4S) in Okeechobee, Florida until he retired.

Robert attended and became a member of New St. Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church in Okeechobee. He attended regularly until his illness. He loved his church, he loved listening to gospel music, playing checkers, playing spades, watching westerns and attending family gatherings. He was always a favorite of his nieces and nephews.

On September 24, 2025, God saw that Robert's earthly body had weakened and needed rest. God called Robert's name, and he answered his father's call.

He leaves to cherish fond memories:

three sons, Robert Lee Leach, Jr., of Okeechobee, Florida, Camille Lamont Leach, of Tallahassee, Florida, and Timothy (Roiy Middleton) Leach, of Fort Myers, Florida; one daughter, Monik( Brian) Mills, of Richmond, Indiana; one brother Willie Lee Leach, of Lakeland, Florida; three sisters: Georgia Givens Caldwell and Rosia Dobbins, of Okeechobee, Florida, and Geraldine White, of Orlando, Florida; two brothers-in- law, Larry (Annette) Davis and Rev.
