Heriberto Robles

Heriberto Robles, affectionately known as Lobito, was born in Comerío, Puerto Rico, on February 7, 1971. After 33 years of adding value to the community of Springfield, Massachusetts, he leaves behind a legacy filled with love, resilience, and an infectious spirit of joy. His life was deeply rooted in family, hard work, and above all, love. As the novelist, Gabriel Garcia Marquez so aptly said, "What matters in life is not what happens to you but what you remember and how you remember it." Heriberto will be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated husband, and a steadfast friend.
Lobito, as he was fondly called, began his life in the United States as a dishwasher in the restaurant business, a role he embraced with humility and dedication. He met every challenge with a smile and a kind word, earning the respect and love of those around him. In his quiet, unassuming way, Heriberto demonstrated the value of hard work, perseverance, and maintaining positivity in the face of adversity. His life was a testament to the truth in Robert Louis Stevenson's words, "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant."
Heriberto is survived by his loving wife, Briseida Baez, whom he married in a beautiful ceremony on April 27, 2024. Among his proudest achievements was his role as a doting father to his children, Fransheska Robles, Keyla Robles, Yamilex Robles, Erick Joel Robles, and Yailenix Robles who were his pride and joy. He also leaves behind his sister: Maria Robles and his brothers: Anibal Robles, Wlliam Robles and Israel Reyes. He also leaves his Seven Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Anibal Robles Diaz and Secundina Diaz Sanchez, and his brothers: Olegario Reyes and Wilfredo Robles Diaz. Heriberto's deep love for his family, his unwavering faith, and his commitment to living life to the fullest will live on in their hearts forever.
A viewing will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at North End Chapels, 130 Carew Street, Springfield, MA.
