Herman Besta Obituary

Herman C. Besta Jr.
Herman C. Besta, Jr, 85, of Enfield passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Evergreen Nursing Center. He was born November 13, 1937, in Jersey City, NJ to Herman C. and Helen Besta. Herman proudly served in the US Army. He retired from the Finest Grocery Stores in Windsor Locks.
Herman is survived by his children, Matthew Besta and his wife Michelle of Enfield, Timothy Besta and his wife Kelly of Somers, Tara Perron and her husband Chris of Enfield, a granddaughter, Emma Besta, a sister Barbara Tierney, and brother Jimmy Besta. Besides his parents, Herman was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Nuttall) Besta in 1996 and sisters Joyce and Helen and brothers Leanord, Eddie, and Bobby.
Herman enjoyed coaching Little League baseball for 10 years, was an avid bowler, enjoyed deep sea fishing and crabbing. He was passionate about UCONN Women's basketball and his two favorite New York teams, Mets and Giants.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 10-12 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield. A Graveside service will take place at 12:30 p.m. at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield. For online condolences, please visit leetestevens.com
