It is of great sadness that we announce the passing of Herman Zeitler, who departed this life on June 30th, 2025. He was born December 9, 1937, to Max and Dorothy (Stender) Zeitler, and was a devoted brother to William Zeitler and the late Alfred Zeitler.
Beloved husband of 63 years to Enid Zeitler; loving father of Mark (Donna) Zeitler, Thomas Zeitler, Nancy (Dann) Giesey, Carrie (Scott) Jewitt, and Scott (Karen) Zeitler; caring grandfather of Jarett (Laura) Giesey, Jori (Michael) McCann, Elizabeth Jewitt, Eric Zeitler, Danielle Jewitt, Ian Zeitler, Jennifer Giesey, Hannah Jewitt, Zachary Jewitt, Aidan Embrey, Alivia Zeitler, and Amelia Zeitler; adoring great grandfather of Wyatt Giesey, Hazel McCann, and James McCann.
Herman was a man who deeply cherished the time he spent with those he loved. Known for his curious mind and creative spirit, he was always tinkering, fixing, or building something from scratch. He found serenity in casting a line across a quiet lake, especially when joined by his children and grandchildren. He also found great joy in hosting lively gatherings, where laughter flowed, and lasting memories were made. Whether in moments of solitude or surrounded by family and friends, Herman embraced life with warmth, curiosity, and a generous heart.
Herman was a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a devoted husband to Enid. His love for travel reflected his sense of adventure, but no matter where he went, his heart was always with his family. Every journey with Enid became more than a simple passage from one place to another; it was a shared adventure, a meaningful experience shaped by laughter, love, and cherished moments. Their love for each other and their family built a foundation that will be remembered and carried forward for generations to come.
