Hilda Noemi Treviño, 78, entered into eternal rest on September 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Hilda was known for her deep love of nature - especially her garden, where she found great joy tending to her plants and flowers. Her passion for gardening was evident to all who knew her, and it brought peace and beauty into her life and the lives of those around her. She also enjoyed sewing and shopping, and always found ways to express her creativity and generosity. A kind, caring, and deeply devoted woman, Hilda was cherished by her family and respected by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she never had children of her own, she held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as if they were her own. She is survived by her two beloved siblings: Iduvijes Peña of Los Indios, Texas, and Ismael Treviño (Edith) of San Benito, Texas. She also leaves behind ten devoted nieces and nephews: Olga Lidia Zuñiga, Ismael Treviño Villafranco, Iris Dolores Treviño, Francisco Javier Treviño, Aurora Liset Proo, Brenda Guadalupe, Ismael Ignacio Treviño, Juan Peña, Jr., Amanda Sofía Peña, Diana Trevino, Gracie Trevino and Corina Cooper, as well as numerous extended family members who will continue to honor her memory. Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Gertrudes Treviño, and two siblings: José Ignacio Treviño and María Isabel Lang. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Las Rucias, Texas, with funeral procession departing the funeral home at 9:20 AM. Interment will follow at Las Rucias Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Hilda's family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Rudy Garza Funeral Home, Harlingen, Texas.
