After a long separation, our dad has joined our Savior and our mom in heaven. Dad led a life of hard work and giving back. Along with his farming, he held many offices in town government. The last 14 plus months couldn't have been possible without the visits, the phone calls, letters and food from friends and family. Along with that, the AWESOME care from the team at Bayada: Candy, Megan, Steve, Tom and Laurel at Castleton Health.
Dad was born on his parents' farm to Robert and Junie (Wade) Fisk. He farmed his whole life. He married Mom (Harriet Tarbell) on May 31, 1961. He was predeceased by his parents, Mom, his sisters Irene and Ruth. He is survived by his children Joanne (Arizona), Dan (Alabama), Hilda (Vermont) and Hope (Ohio), his sister Marie, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Open Door Mission, 31 Park Street, Rutland, Vermont,05701.
Calling hours are Saturday, February 15 at Dad's (950 Old Otis Road) from 9-4. Come have a piece of pie (Dad's favorite dessert) and share a story. Burial will be at a later date
