Carol V. Baker
Tinmouth-Carol V. Baker from Tinmouth crossed over to meet her husband, Edwin F. Baker, on Monday, May 26th. She was surrounded and held by her children and several grandchildren. Her favorite songs were constantly playing by her bed.
Carol, Mom, was the daughter of Arlene Gohn and Clifford Tetrude. She was born on the Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, MT on January 12th, 1941.
Mom was always the strength of our family. She was a loving wife to our father and gave him the courage to move forward after the tragic fire that destroyed most of the farm. The memory of her small hand pressed on his cheek still brings tears to my eyes. She was also a fierce mother that stood by her children at all times. We always knew we were loved and guided by her class and grace. Mom continued that love and support to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Her laughter and hugs brought joy to each and every one of them.
Mom was also a devoted friend and shared many memories with people that Dad and she knew. They met many friends as they showed Morgan horses and snowmobiled with throughout New England. She had a love of the ocean and traveled there yearly with Dad, family and friends. Mom also loved garage sales and would go with her daughter, Andrea. And yes, they always came back with things they didn't need.
We honored Mom's wishes to live out her life on the family farm. Over the years she was cared for by her daughters and most recently by her granddaughter, Whitney Perkins
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 50 years and her daughter Victoria.
She leaves behind sons Thomas (Kylee)Velde, Anders Velde, daughters Andrea (Frank) Carmen, and Tracy Gioffi-Baker.
At Mom's request, there will be no public services. There will be a private burial for her to join Dad at a later date. We will continue to love and honor this beautiful woman.
Until we meet again Mom
I love you, Tracy
