Danby-Joseph H. Macheski, 89 passed away on June 1, 2025, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 16, 1936, in Danby, to Anthony and Priscilla (Stevens) Macheski.
He attended school in Danby.
Joseph was employed by the Vermont Marble Quarry for over 40 years until his retirement.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time with his family.
Joseph is survived by a daughter Amy Macheski and a son Kevin Macheski, also a sister Dorothy Kapusta and brothers Donald and Thomas Macheski, and some stepchildren. He is also survived, by grandchildren Ashley and Emily Macheski, Andrew and Justin Clark, and Aaron and Thomas Dorr, Sierra Mallory, Kevin Macheski Jr., and Zachary and Jamie McLellan.
He was predeceased by two sons Jody and Jeffrey Macheski, a daughter Jackie Macheski, a sister Jane Macheski, both parents and a lifelong companion Ruth Macheski.
There will be no service or calling hours.
