Caitlin Anne Macheski

Recently, we were shown a tragic reminder of the preciousness of life. Caitlin Anne Macheski, 36, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her residence.
A Celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd Columbus, GA 31907.
Caitlin was born October 30, 1985 in San Diego, CA to Dr. William Macheski and Anne Macheski. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Hardaway High School. As a devoted daughter, sister, niece and aunt, Caitlin will always be remembered most for her huge heart and smile that lit up the room, her love for animals and loyalty and compassion for anyone she met. She loved her family, Christian music, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and her beloved dog, Lola. The family finds peace in knowing that in the last few years of her life, Caitlin found a strong faith and love for the Lord and is now wrapped in the arms of our Savior.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Brent Helms and both sets of grandparents.
Other than her parents she is survived by three brothers, Matthew Carroll (Joyce), Adam Carroll (Leslie), and Brian Macheski, three sisters, Jessica Fuller (Cain), Taylor Marshall (Sean) and Kendall Macheski, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
