Ruth J. Macheski, 85, of Rutland, died on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in her home surrounded by family.
Ruth was born on March 8, 1939, in Wallingford, VT, the daughter of Willard and Nellie (Howard) Regimbald. She worked as a housekeeper for many years at various places but mostly, she was a stay-at-home mother for her 5 children. Ruth loved to play bingo, going out to eat, going for walks, and to spend time with her family
Survivors include her sons Steven Ricketts of Rutland and Howard (Marie) Regimbald of Tinmouth; daughters Linda (Marty) White of Danby, Brenda (Tim) Rairdon of Indiana, and Amy Macheski of Benson; sisters Mildred Ricketts and Marlene Patch; brother David Regimbald; 8 grandchildren Larry and Jacob White, Steven Ricketts Jr., Justin and Andrew Clark Jr., Emily and Ashley Macheski, and Cindy Regimbald; 4 great-grandchildren Cameron and Emma White and Chloe and Paisley Clark; former husband Joseph Macheski; and several nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by both parents; first husband Albert Ricketts; brothers John Regimbald, Harry Regimbald, Richard Regimbald, Willard Regimbald, and Frederick Regimbald; sisters Elizabeth Sherman and Ann Jaggers; grandson Timothy Rairdon Jr.
There are no services at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction on Clifford Funeral Home.
