It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hollis Martin "Marty" Smith Jr., who left this world on September 9, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on December 12, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas, Marty was the son of the late Hollis Martin Smith, Sr. and Shirley June Cavender Smith. For over 50 years, he embraced his craft in the auto body and paint industry, making a lasting mark as a valued member of the Bremen Body Shop and Marty Smith's Shop.

Besides his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Steve Stanford.

Survivors include his loving wife, Denise Smith, with whom he shared 23 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they navigated life's ups and downs, sharing countless laughs and memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew them. He was a proud father to his sons, Shannon Smith (Felicia) and Cody Cole, and his daughter, Brandy Martin. Marty truly adored his family, including his wonderful grandchildren: Kayla, Braden, Bailey, Samantha, Belle, Jayden, and Noah, as well as his great-grandchildren, Louella, Oaklynn, and Aurelie. Marty also leaves behind his beloved sister, June Stanford, as well as his uncles, Sherrill Cavender and Billy Wayne Smith (Linda). He was an adoring uncle and great-uncle to nieces Staci Stanford and Stephanie Stevenson, and great-nephews Colby, Corey, Colton, Will, and Daniel, who will remember him for his warmth and kindness.

Following Marty's wishes, his remains will be cremated, providing a peaceful resting place as we keep his memory alive in our hearts.
