Holly Rashel Sutton, 40, was born June 2, 1984 in Sherman, Texas. Holly’s battle with brain cancer ended Thursday August 29, 2024, surrounded by family in Wylie, Texas. Holly is survived by: parents Clark and Ann Sutton, children Kevin Hale, Aubrei Hale, Ryleigh Hale and Raina Ross, brother Landel Sutton, “seeeeester” Caroline Sutton, niece AJ Kennedy, Grandma Carolyn Sutton, Grandaddy Thom Whitlock, aunts and uncles Connie, Archie, Grant, Nicole, David, Jeanne, Wendell, Renae and numerous cousins. Preceding Holly were Grandpa Jimmy Sutton and Grammy Jo Whitlock.

Holly graduated from Howe High School in 2002 and completed her Bachelor of science in Interior Design at Arizona State University in 2013. She worked at architecture and design firms in Arizona, Texas and Washington. Holly was a great friend! She was opinionated, but at the same time, thoughtfully attentive and loving. She was said to be “Tough on the outside, squishy on the inside.” Holly had many interests: she excelled as catcher in school and club softball, studied piano for 8 years, played flute, was in the flag corp, and loved sports (go Astros!, go Vegas Knights!, and go Ferrari!). She enjoyed painting and arranging flowers for weddings (including her own). Holly loved to make people happy with her cooking! She loved to shop and was a great shopping partner. She loved to travel. However, exercising was her happy place! For many years she instructed Les Mills Body Pump and RPM group classes. Holly and her brother ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2012. Holly had a way of connecting with her children that was so enjoyable to watch. To know her kids is such a gift.

We are going to miss this girl and her vibrant personality! We are so proud of you and we love you, Holly! If you have the desire to honor her memory, you may make a donation in her name to Head for the Cure (headforthecure.org).
