Horace Robert-Charles "Lil Robert" Gist Jr.

Horace Robert-Charles Gist Jr., affectionately known as "Little Robert" was born to Monica and the late Horace Robert-Charles Gist Sr. on December 14, 1999. He departed this life on June 3, 2023 due to a swimming tragedy leaving our family devastated.
Growing up, Robert was a smart, passionate, funny, and loving child. He enjoyed being outside playing with his friends and family, but most importantly making sure his job as an "OWNER to Pa'Sion" was well managed.
Robert grew up in both "the country" and the South Side of Toledo at his grandmother's houses where he enjoyed playing sports, riding bikes, and taking care of animals.
After attending Robert S. Rogers High School, Robert went on to become a Head Chef and Entrepreneur, owning both Mean Jean Auto Detailing, and his newest venture with his best friend Tavion working with horses.
Robert was a true sneakerhead. He didn't get dressed up often, but when he did he made sure that he always had a nice pair of sneakers to match. A few of Robert's favorite hobbies were to hang with the boys, spend time with his family, play the game, crack jokes, eat (Marco's Pizza, Orange Gatorade, and Pringles), and party.
At the age of 5, Robert met Dejah at Old West End Academy. Due to young age and later long distance they were off and on for over 15 years. Dejah was truly the love of his life, and he recently planned to relocate to Los Angeles, CA to propose.
Robert is preceded in death by his Father; Horace Gist Sr., Paternal Grandparents; James and Jean Gist, Maternal Grandfather; James Hall, Uncle; Bobby Gist, Great-Grandparents, Great Aunts and Uncles.
Robert is succeeded in death by his Mother; Monica Gist, Brother; Perce Gist, Sisters; Pa'Sion and Haleyah Gist, Grandparents; Rev. Dr. Mellody Bowen-Hall, Cameron Estes and Myron Lawerence, Great-Grandparent; Barbara Walker. Fiancé Dejah King, Sister in Love; Alexis Brown, Brother in Love; Temon Fisher, Niece or Nephew; Baby Gist 2023, Son (dog); Chi-Chi Gist, Uncles; Danny, Kelvin (Kera), Kenneth (Vary), Lamontie Gist, Van (Hope) Bowen, and Devon Greenlee.
