Howard "Howie" Bennin, age 86, passed away at home on Monday, February 6, 2023. He was born on May 21, 1936, in Sheboygan, WI, to the late Raymond and Esther (Voskuil) Bennin. Howard graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1954. He joined the U.S. Army and proudly served our country from 1959-1962. On April 15th, 1959, he married his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Sandra (Klein), who preceded him in death in 2013.
Howard had a long career at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation then retired in 1997 to spend his retirement years with his ever-growing loving family. He was a proud husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed his old cars and his goats and truly loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his very special companion, Linda Warner.
Howard is lovingly survived by his children Cynthia (Randy) Bartholomew of Sheboygan, Christine (David) Murray of Sheboygan, Catherine (Dennis) Murray, Peter (Beccie) Bennin of Plymouth, Andrew Bennin of Sheboygan; grandchildren and great grandchildren (listed by family): Kurt and Nicole Bartholomew, Kate and Jake Jaehnke with their children Milo and Hudson, Kyle and Mel Bartholomew, Tristan and Amy Murray with their children Evelyn, Clayton, and Gavin, Jake and Sami Murray with their daughter Emma, DJ and Sierra Murray with their children Brooks, Luella, and Coleson, Thomas and Sarah Murray with their children Isaiah, Lucy, and Hattie, Jessica Murray, Joseph Murray, Gabe and Krystal Bennin with their children Landon and Levi, Nathan Bennin, Abigail Bennin, Mariah Bennin, and Vincent Bennin.
Howard is also survived by his sister Lorraine and brothers John, Paul, and Robert Bennin along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Howard will be held at 11:30am on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan. Friends and family will be received for visitation at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of service.

So sorry to hear about Howie. I just found out today. We had many great conversations over the years at the retiree breakfasts. I will miss him.

I'm writing from Florida. I worked with Howard for many years and all my memories are good. I never saw him angry or use profanities. He was kind and gentle and always willing to help or loan a tool he had. You will be missed by many.
