Howard Henson Obituary
Howard Henry "Howie" Henson, age 64 of Morristown, passed away Friday October 17, 2025 following a lengthy illness.
Howie's legacy is that of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his family, fishing, and watching UT Football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer & Lucille Fullington; sisters, Violet & Elizabeth; and brothers, Roy & Ronnie.
Howie is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ruth Evans Henson; daughter, Laura Lewis (Corey Smith); grandchildren, Grace, Audrey, Layla, Jackson, & Adalynn; brothers, Kenneth & Junior; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends - including, but not limited to - Hugh Troutt, Eric Shugart, & Todd (Kayla) Smith. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Cardiac ICU staff at UT Medical Center, with special thanks to nurses, Kyle, Anthony, & Jimmy. In addition, the family would like to recognize Dr. Thomas Conway and staff at the Primary Care Center of Newport.
Per his request, Howie was cremated. The family will hold a Celebration of Life from 5PM to 7PM, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Roe Junction Baptist Church of Morristown.
Farrar Funeral Home of Dandridge is honored to serve the Henson family.
