Howard Laborde

Funeral service for Howard Joseph Laborde, of Mansura, will begin at 11:30am on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Marksville. Entombment will follow at the St. Lamartiniere Cemetery in Fifth Ward.

Howard Laborde, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his residence in Mansura surrounded by family and friends.

Howard was an avid horse lover that rarely missed a race. He enjoyed watching old western movies in his spare time. His pride and joy were his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Angie Laborde of Dallas, Georgia, Jodi Laborde of Mansura, and Cindy Ducote of Hessmer; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Daria Laborde of Marksville, Erica (Cory) Miller of Colorado Springs, CO, Makayla Laborde of Mansura, Morgan (Kamryn) Lacour of Alexandria, Jordan Sullivan of Mansura, and Araya Sullivan of Mansura; great-grandchildren, Drelynn, Dezlynn, and Danika Laborde, all of Marksville, Lennox Hollis of Mansura, and Baby Roland of Alexandria.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Peggy Laborde; and his son, Timothy Laborde

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Cory Miller, Kamryn Roland, Derrick Ward, Patrick Laborde, Dane Gaspard, and Tommy Laborde.

A visitation will begin at 10:30am until time of service on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Marksville.
