H. David Miller Jr., 89, of Carlisle, passed away February 2, 2026, at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
Born July 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Howard D. and Jane S. (Kiehl) Miller Sr. and the husband of Norma (McCoy) Miller who survives. He graduated from Carlisle High School class of 1954. Dave served in the United States Army and was a member of the First Church of God in Carlisle.
Dave found great joy in helping others and his community. Throughout the years, he served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, Orrstown Bank and the Church of God Home. He additionally served on the Board of Directors for Clyde Dupin Ministries.
He was an avid animal lover, reader and loved to learn. Throughout his lifetime he liked to exercise and enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and softball.
Surviving Dave in addition to his wife are his daughters, Julie Kretzing and Sandy Miller; grandchildren, Brian Kretzing (Megan), Matthew Kretzing, Peter Meleason, Chris Meleason and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Miller. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Kretzing.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the First Church of God, 705 Glendale St. Carlisle, PA 17013. A Celebration of Life for Dave will follow at 11:00 AM. A private family burial will take place at Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the First Church of God in Carlisle.
